Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are much delighted and privileged to invite you to the 2021 CIBEC Week  which will be held from June 7 to 13, 2021 at Catholic International Bioskills Education Center (CIBEC), Seoul, Korea.

Since the concept of “Minimum Invasive Surgery (MIS)” was introduced, it has become a global trend over the world and has now outnumbered classical operations. MIS using laparoscopes or robots, needs a sole, well-trained surgeon who can perform the operation in a limited operational field. This has meant a reduction in operative experience for newer surgical trainees. At this moment, the 2021 CIBEC Week has been designed as hands-on workshops for surgeons to provide MIS experience directed by the best surgeons in each division.

The One-week workshop is composed of robotic, laparoscopic, and conventional surgeries combined with surgical anatomy sections, according to the division. Gastrointestinal Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Thyroid & Endocrine Surgery, Breast Surgery, and Gynecology will be practiced in High Quality Fresh Cadavers specifically prepared for each surgery. We would like to hope the 2021 CIBEC Week will be a good chance that attendants learn, experience and improve MIS, and share and discuss issues in this field.

Although COVID-19 makes International Applicants to be unable come from around the world this year, we believe that the 2021 CIBEC Week will be a great turnout.

We look forward to your attention and encouragement, and meeting all of you in the CIBEC, Seoul in June 2021.
